Estuaryware is a range of sturdy stoneware pottery for the kitchen and table. Thrown on the wheel by Richard Baxter and decorated and glazed by Julie O’Sullivan, they use two types of clay, giving lighter and darker finishes. Most customers choose to have a mix of half their order in each clay, for maximum variety.
Here are photos of the pieces in the range including 3 plate sizes, bowls for pasta, puddings and soups, drinking vessels, teapots, utensil pots, ramekins and jugs. Please email us for prices and availability.
We make these pieces for top chef John Lawson’s FOOD restaurant in Leigh on Sea. John specializes in the use of local ingredients and we designed these pots specially to suit, as they are made in Leigh on Sea, and include cockleshells and seaweed imprints as well as seaglass sourced from local beaches after high tides.
